                  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Eloise Epps MacKinnon was born in Newberry, South Carolina, on September 28, 1954. She is a Christian Romance Author, Motivational Speaker, and a Servant of God. Eloise’s first novel, Escaping Rapture Of Devotion, was published on August 26, 2017. She then went on to release two (2) other books in her “A Twisted Shade Of Green” trilogy: “Portrayal Of Lust and Revenge” on July 11, 2018, and “Lies and Secrets” on May 18, 2020. During her short tenure as an author, Eloise has done seven (7) Barnes and Noble Book Signings/Readings at various stores, Two (2) Library Book Readings, three (3) Motivational Speaking Engagements, and Three (3) Radio Interviews.

Eloise’s novels are written with a message for everyone who feels their lives are too broken for God to fix. In life, we are sometimes taught we are less desirable to someone because of our shade of skin, weight, texture/length of hair, level of education, living environment, job status, etc. Well, that list can go on and on. But, through Eloise’s writings and speaking engagements, she prays to empower her readers not to accept the labels which society has branded us with; instead, the one that God gave His only Son for us to achieve. That’s why she writes about characters who are the underdog because, in Matthew 21:42 (ESV), it clearly states: Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”
